  • A VOLUME WHEEL, AND NO MUTE BUTTON: The inline control on this cable is a scroll wheel that raises and lowers the sound, and that is all it does. There is no mute button anywhere on it. Cables in this category carry one or the other and almost never both, so if silencing the microphone from the cable matters to you, this is not the one to buy.
  • WIRED 5-POLE AT THE HEADSET AND 4-POLE AT THE DEVICE: The plug that goes into the ear cup carries five contact rings and the plug that goes into the controller carries four, which is the arrangement these headsets need for the microphone to be heard. An ordinary three-ring aux cable passes sound but leaves the microphone dead.
  • FITS THE A10, THE A30, THE A40 AND THE A40 TR: One cable covers all four, because they share the same headset-side port. At the other end it goes into the 3.5mm jack on a controller for PS5, for PS4, for Xbox Series X, for Xbox Series S or for Xbox One, and into a laptop or a phone that has a single combined jack.
  • TWO METERS OF BRAIDED NYLON WITH GOLD PLATED PLUGS: The cable measures 200 cm, which the package graphic gives as 78.7 inches, and the red nylon braid sits over a copper core. Both plugs carry gold plating and a reinforced collar where the jacket meets the barrel, which is where a stock cable usually gives out first.
  • A DESKTOP WITH TWO SEPARATE JACKS NEEDS A SPLITTER: Laptops and phones almost always have one combined jack and work straight away. A tower with a green headphone socket and a pink microphone socket does not, and you will need a splitter adapter between them, which is not included here.
